About the role
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of physical and system inventory across all inventory organizations. This role supports operational performance, financial accuracy, and audit readiness by leading inventory control activities, driving visibility through analytics, and building a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all inventory control processes, ensuring alignment between physical inventory and system records (ERP/WMS)
- Plan, execute, and oversee cycle counts, full physical inventories, and audit activities
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Validate inventory transactions across key supply chain stages and inventory facilities: Production receipts, Cross-border/international shipments, Internal transfers, Order fulfillment and shipping
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve inventory control SOPs and processes
- Maintain accurate documentation for inventory movements, adjustments, and destruction activities
- Build and maintain inventory dashboards and reporting tools to track performance and risks
- Analyze data to identify trends, reduce shrink, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Logistics, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to resolve inventory issues
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Inventory Specialists and Certifiers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams
- Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong knowledge of: Inventory control processes and best practices, ERP and WMS systems (Oracle preferred), Data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, SharePoint), Audit, compliance, and food safety standards (SQF, GMP, FSMA)
- Experience with audit, compliance, and food safety standards (SQF, GMP, FSMA) preferred
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Food safety and Quality oriented
- Able to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of associates
- Able to travel when needed up to 10% inside and outside the country
