About the role

The Inventory Control Specialist ensures the accuracy of data in our internal systems compared to physical inventory counts. This position collaborates across departments to identify issues, resolve trends, and present proactive solutions that serve our customers. Inventory Control Specialists work independently and efficiently across teams, fulfilling responsibilities with precision and care.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a minimum of 5 replenishments per hour
  • Maintain a "clean as you go" mentality, removing trash and empty skids from bins
  • Communicate inventory discrepancies with respective inventory team members
  • Maintain performance, safety, and cultural expectations
  • Report any damages to product seen in bins
  • Report any forklift incidents
  • Be respectful to lift traffic in the warehouse and communicate direction
  • Operate the stand-up reach truck
  • Perform other duties as assigned by team lead outside area of responsibility

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 lbs

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
  • No degree required; relevant skills and experience valued alongside alignment with core values

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and use handheld scanners
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including simplifying complex concepts
  • Ability to multitask while communicating effectively
  • Works well individually and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to be cross-trained within inventory control departments
