What you will be doing
- Install, configure, and maintain the organization's computer systems and associated peripheral equipment.
- Maintain operating efficiency and stability, ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data, and respond to outages and other issues.
- Perform application administration activities such as creating, modifying, and deleting users, optimizing remote access, and security access for messaging systems, databases, and web applications.
- Cook with department leadership to plan, design, and schedule the release of all software, hardware, and operating system updates.
- Develop and enhance processes and technical documentation, create backup procedures, test plans, and reports.
- Prioritize and respond to requests for service and may provide escalation support to helpdesk staff.
- Automate application administration activities such as writing scripts or using automated tools to: Create user accounts, Modify user properties, Delete user accounts.
- Develop system methodologies to monitor and evaluate all in-place systems and applications and initialize repairs, updates, and other changes necessary to ensure maximum performance.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
- Support and administer various applications software platforms.
- Document IT activities such as downtime, problems, systems configurations.
- Coordinate, manage, and/or build new computer systems for special purposes.
- Remain abreast of emerging technology and maintain technical competency of IT infrastructure.
- Keep abreast and aware of latest security trends, participate in regular security activities.
- Ensure operating systems are kept updated per HAEA security policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
What we require from you
- Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent of 5-7+ years experience in position with similar responsibilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Collaborative, team player who is willing to assist users with their tasks when needed.
- Strong verbal and written and communication skills.
- If you have the following professional certifications: MCSE or MCSA Certification, Windows Server Active Directory Certification, it would be awesome.
