Responsibilities

  • Makes sure that service providers follow rules and regulations.
  • Visits sites to check how well services are being provided.
  • Answers questions and helps solve problems for staff and clients.
  • Develops ways to measure how well services are working.
  • Submits claims for money owed to the department.
  • Prepares requests for proposals and negotiates contracts.
  • Monitors and evaluates the work of service providers.
  • Reviews and analyzes financial and performance data.
  • Prepares reports and makes suggestions for improving services.

Qualifications

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least three years of professional work experience.
  • Skilled in using standard software applications.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, grants management, and government regulations.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, needs assessments, program evaluation, and performance monitoring.
  • Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Passes an extensive background investigation.
