100% Travel - Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground

About the role

The successful Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground will oversee one or more underground telecommunication construction crews, ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate installation, maintenance, and repair of customer telecommunications equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of installation, maintenance, and/or repair of telecommunications equipment to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and safety in completion.
• Supervision of day-to-day activities and project progress, establishment of guidance on project execution, and ensuring compliance with predetermined project deliverables.
• Excellent communication with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist in an assigned area, department or project.
• Identification and course correction of project issues and risks, and assistance in the development of response plans to resolve.
• Understanding of current and future business goals and ongoing issues.
• Implementation and maintenance of processes to assist in the completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project.
• Communication with Company personnel, customers, and contractors to ensure tasks are completed.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in a related field or 3 years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Current project routes include: Miami, FL to Orlando, FL; Miami, FL to Tampa, FL; Tallahassee, FL to New Orleans, LA; Tallahassee, FL to Atlanta, GA; Augusta, GA to Charlotte, NC; Atlanta, GA to Houston, TX.

Skills

• Good working knowledge of telecommunications construction.
• Familiarity with excavation equipment, utility lines and poles, and the functionality of each.
• Ability to use digger derrick and trenching equipment.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems.
