Hybrid remote position based in the USA, open to candidates near major US Celestica locations (MA, PA, MN, TX, AZ, OR, CA) or close to major airports.
About the Role
Provides leadership oversight for all Supply Chain Management (SCM) related matters for customer(s). Advises the supply chain management process from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance. Serves as the focal point for all SCM-related issues, strategies, and requirements, maintaining customer relationships and acting as the primary interface for SCM.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction for source selection and support supplier identification/development to meet current and future business needs.
- Support efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks.
- Optimize Design for supply chain performance of Celestica products through cross-functional collaboration.
- Maintain responsibility for a set of projects jointly developed by Celestica and customers.
- Deploy systems and processes ensuring customer satisfaction; coordinate responses to all SCM customer enquiries.
- Participate in business process improvements to achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
- Support working capital assumptions in the quote process and lead SCM optimization efforts to achieve or exceed quoted turns and plan.
- Drive customer engagement on demand planning, demand management, commitments, non-performing inventory, and future process improvements.
- Provide direction and support to site teams on SIOP, GAP inventory reviews, and Strategic inventory proposals to customers.
- Review NPI BOMs and develop materials strategies; identify SMI opportunities and drive implementation, management, and performance of established SMIs.
- Drive localization and strategic sourcing activities for CLS-preferred suppliers.
- Support SIOP revenue forecasting and execution throughout product launch (NPI to MP).
- Identify SIOP demand-supply material shortages throughout product launch (NPI to MP).
- Identify and develop higher-level assembly and integration strategies where applicable.
- Coordinate 2nd sourcing qualifications and phase-ins, as well as CLS intersite activities.
- Provide strategic supply chain expertise, support, and innovative solutions to internal SCM stakeholders and customers.
- Drive supply chain strategy for customers within their market and support initiatives with sites to meet customer and Celestica requirements.
- Support the SCM portion for customer QBRs and collaborate with senior management at key/strategic suppliers on escalations and KPI improvement initiatives.
- Ensure contractual claims for SCM-related costs are recovered (e.g., E&O claims, premium for shortage management, NRE) and follow up on escalations with customers for resolutions.
- Collaborate with customers on proposals, expedites, and premiums; manage risks/liabilities for CLS and provide guidance to ensure capacity is installed as needed.
- Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers.
- Provide leadership in the analysis of cost customer bids or quarterly BOM Costing exercises for global customers.
- Support Commodity Management teams on contract negotiations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Proven leadership in strategic supply chain initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience in supplier development, sourcing, and cost reduction efforts.
- Strong analytical skills for BOM analysis, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
- Ability to manage customer relationships and serve as the primary SCM interface.
- Experience with SIOP, NPI, and strategic inventory proposals.
- Knowledge of contract negotiations, risk management, and capacity planning.
Physical Demands
Duties are performed in a normal office environment with continuous light physical effort, including prolonged repetitive motion, standing, and sitting in a confined workspace.
