About the role

The successful candidate will lead the efforts of multiple support organizations, globally, to ensure a successful engagement with Celestica’s product design customers. They will support delivery of projects developed by Celestica’s Global Design Services organization, provide direction for source selection, and ensure proper process implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Supports delivery of projects developed by Celestica’s Global Design Services organization.
  • Provides direction for source selection and ensures proper process implementation.
  • Works with the Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
  • Works with the supply chain management process for customers, from materials pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.
  • Quotes and negotiates critical high dollar or strategic commodities, or provides direction to a team of commodity managers.
  • Supports quarterly business reviews with customers, and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
  • Provides leadership and direction with respect to interaction with suppliers.
  • Leads process development and development of commodity strategies.
  • Has regular communication with customers related to demand, commitments, non-performing inventory, and future process changes / improvements.
  • Supports projects or programs on a global basis.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management.
  • Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
  • Good knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • In Multi-tasking And Time Management Ability.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally and with other sites to achieve objectives.
  • Frequent travel to related sites is required (up to 25%).

Qualifications

  • 9+ years of relevant experience and previous experience within electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering or Materials Management), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels including executives and/or major customers.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Competencies in supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management.
  • Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
  • Good knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues & problems internally and externally.
