Duties & Essential Job Functions Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions and any other special customer requirementsLocate and inspect the printing material to assure conformance to the specified requirementsProof plates to assure correct graphics before productionSet rollers, hang plates, apply ink, set fountain settings and perform all related machine operation to operate press machineRun make ready sheets and line up for proper position and layoutDemonstrate the ability to start up and operate the press efficientlyBring process colors and/or special colors into registerMeasure registration using registration marks and dot alignment with and without a loupeAchieve ink and water balanceSet and adjust inks to achieve required colors matching specified requirementsMaintain and adjust ink levels during production to match specified requirementsAchieve and monitor UV lighting levels to assure proper curing rate to prevent offset and delaminationExamine press sheets during production for normal and special variationSet up job and maintain color control by using the Intellitrax systemClean the press according to the press manualPerform preventive maintenanceDemonstrate the ability to use the shop floor data collection terminals and display consistency and accuracyPerform other related job duties as assigned Other Functions And Responsibilities This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalentAt least 2 years of related experience with a color pressAbility to operate hand carts, pallet jacks and stackersAbility to handle potentially hazardous materialsMust possess a high standard of personal integrityAbility to interact with all levels of the organizationAbility to follow instructions to assist in operation and maintenanceAbility to work independently with high attention to detailAbility to work overtime as neededAbility to communicate orally and in writing in the English languageMust have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisionMust have a positive attitude and good teamwork skillsMust be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check prior to hire Physical Requirements/Work Environment Requires standing for 8 or more hours per dayRequires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manualsRequires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, scanner The pay range for this position is $30.00-$35.00/hour and is eligible for an annual bonus.
