Responsibilities

• Repair 1 phase padmount transformers
• Estimate repair costs of 1 phase padmount transformers
• Scrap unrepairable units and pull shop cards
• Read and comprehend customer specifications
• Complete warranty and report analysis
• Perform quality check on units before they leave the department
• Use basic math skills to calculate amps and ratios of transformers
• Meet repair and defect goals set by supervisor
• Responsible for all shop equipment and tools in his/her workstation
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation
• Operation of forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed
• Work as a team with fellow associates to accomplish objectives

Requirements

• Honest, trustworthy and reliable

• Physical ability to perform heavy work, exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 20lbs force frequently
• Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold
