About the role

As a part time manager, the retail leadership role is responsible for driving daily store sales, delivering high-energy customer experiences, performing ear piercings, and managing baseline store operations. This shift-leading position directly supports the Store Manager and involves acting as a brand ambassador while working independently or alongside a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Driving Sales: Hitting performance goals by upselling jewelry and styling accessories.
  • Piercing Excellence: Completing corporate training to perform sterile ear piercings safely.
  • Piercing Aftercare: Educating clients and parents on proper post-piercing care routines.
  • Visual Merchandising: Creating clean, trend-focused displays to optimize store presentation.
  • Store Operations: Handling daily cash transactions and tracking stock via inventory management.
  • Team Motivation: Mentoring sales associates and sharing active selling techniques on shifts.
  • Social Engagement: Encouraging customers to share their store purchases and piercings online.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of one year in a retail environment, ideally with sales or shift-leading tasks.
  • Education: Completion of some high school coursework is standard.
  • Age & Scheduling: Typically must be at least 18 years old to cover opening and closing shifts.
  • Physical Capability: Standing for full shifts, climbing step stools, and lifting 25 to 75 pounds.
  • Math Proficiency: Strong basic math skills required for daily register counts and cash handling.
  • Independence: Reliability to work shifts entirely alone when store traffic is low.
