Our Piercing Specialists complete structured certification and ongoing skill validation to ensure every piercing is delivered with precision, consistency, and confidence — especially for first-time and pediatric guests.

Responsibilities

  • Piercing Excellence | Clinical Standards
    • Deliver professional ear-piercing services in accordance with Claire’s Clinical Piercing Standards and safety protocols.
    • Follow all sterilization, hygiene, and infection-prevention procedures with precision and consistency before, during, and after every service.
    • Educate guests and guardians through informed consent, eligibility screening, and clear aftercare instructions.
    • Maintain certification requirements and complete ongoing piercing skill development training.
  • Customer Experience | Brand Ambassador
    • Inspire customers and teammates through confident brand storytelling.
    • Consistently deliver friendly, engaging services that keep customers coming back and build loyalty to the brand.
    • Lead by example on the sales floor, demonstrating strong selling behaviors and styling expertise.
    • Address customer concerns with empathy and escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Sales Performance | Results Drive
    • Shift-level piercing and retail conversion, ensuring strong product attachment and consistent service execution across the team.
    • Coach associates in real time to improve consultation quality, attachment behaviors, and overall selling effectiveness.
    • Support execution of promotions, campaigns, and sales-driving initiatives.
    • Use product knowledge and trend awareness to influence purchasing decisions.
  • People | Team Leadership
    • Build strong relationships with peers and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-energy team culture.
    • Reinforce selling standards, service expectations, and brand behaviors.
    • Support the coaching and motivation of Sales Associates through real-time feedback.
    • Act as a role model for reliability, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Operations | Shift Leadership
    • Open and close the store and manage cash handling accurately.
    • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure stock areas are organized.
    • Support shipment processing, inventory accuracy, and adherence to safety and loss prevention practices.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store that reflects Claire’s brand standards and creates a great shopping experience.
    • Execute operational tasks and company initiatives as directed by store leadership.

Job Requirements

  • Previous retail experience, with exposure to sales or leadership responsibilities preferred.
  • Strong customer service and selling skills.
  • Ability to provide feedback and guidance to peers in a supportive way.
  • Comfort operating POS systems and handling cash accurately.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise (up to 25–75 lbs as required).
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and use ladders or step stools safely.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must become a certified Claire’s Piercing Specialist and perform piercings in strict accordance with documented clinical, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Comfortable working with pediatric and first-time guests.
