About the role

The Color & Curl Concierge / Colour & Curl Specialist is a key position in our team, focusing on color and curl expertise, customer service, and product education.

Responsibilities

• Determine customer color and care needs and offer professional advice and recommendations.
• Communicate with customers, associates, and vendors regarding calls, visits, orders, and sales progress.
• Ensure customer concerns and questions are resolved promptly and effectively.
• Maintain a high standard of color and curl merchandising and display techniques.
• Stay updated on industry trends and adapt sales techniques accordingly.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures, including making bank deposits and handling cash transactions.
• Adhere to CosmoProf/BSG Culture Values and company code of ethics.

Requirements

• One year retail or sales experience.
• Licensed cosmetologist preferred in the US and Canada.
• Reliable transportation for servicing designated store and market.
• Ability to travel to shows and/or sales meetings up to three times a year.
• Strong business acumen and ability to interpret and act on sales reporting.
• Working knowledge of retail sales, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
• Comprehensive computer skills, including familiarity with POS applications.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Positive interaction with the public and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Pass Color Certification Test within 60 days of hire.

• Strong knowledge of POS applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of computers, iPads, mobile devices, and social media platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience and Skills Required
