Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to relevant codes and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, or malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and plumbers, to ensure electrical systems are integrated effectively into building plans.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
  • Keep abreast of developments in electrical technology and regulations to maintain professional competence.
  • Provide guidance and training to apprentices or junior electricians as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring manual labor and working in various conditions.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Education and Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
  • Additional certification or coursework in electrical technology is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and environments.
  • May involve climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
  • Often work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially for emergency repairs or construction projects with tight deadlines.
  • Will need to travel from Tacoma to Seattle depending on the project.

We are a construction and property management company based in the Seattle area since 1990. We focus on multi-family housing for emerging middle-class tenants and are rapidly growing, changing, and improving every aspect of our business. We have an immediate need for 02 Electrical Journeyman/Apprentice with Multi Family new Construction experience.

Job Type

Full-time M-F. We Are Offering $42-$55 per hour (based on experience).
