About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in various areas including brand, people, and operations. They also take full responsibility when the Store Manager is absent.
Responsibilities
Brand: Supervise and plan daily goals and activities to enhance customer experiences and maximize sales/KPIs. Ensure all brand standards are met and resolve customer issues.
People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve business objectives. Recruit and manage associates, addressing their strengths and opportunities. Maintain positive relations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Operations: Execute company processes, manage inventory, schedule hours, and ensure store procedures are correct. Support digital strategies and analyze store trends.
Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure a safe store environment, enforce policies, and protect company assets. Analyze reports and maintain compliance with HAZMAT training.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Age 18 or older
Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience
Minimum 1+ year(s) prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team
Effective communication skills
Scheduling availability
Cosmetology license desirable but not required
