00447 Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising and supporting the direction planning of associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences, manage store operations, and maintain brand standards.

Responsibilities

• 30% Brand: Supervise and support associates in achieving KPIs and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, and communication. Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc. Resolve customer issues and anticipate customer demands.

• 30% People: Engage, train, and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit and hire associates, identify strengths and opportunities, and address them through coaching or counseling. Maintain positive relations with associates and peers, and ensure compliance with company policies.

• 30% Operations: Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement. Manage inventory, payroll hours, and store opening/closing procedures. Utilize digital strategies and tools for efficient operations.

• 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensure store safety and protect company assets by following policies and procedures. Analyze and utilize available reporting and tools to ensure compliance with HAZMAT training and execution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least 18 years of age

• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience

• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience

• Ability to lead or support a team of associates

• Effective communication skills

• Scheduling availability to meet business needs

• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
