Position Overview
The Zünd CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC cutting equipment to ensure consistent, high-quality output in a production-driven environment. This role plays a key part in meeting daily production goals by running jobs efficiently, maintaining workflow, and ensuring all parts meet required specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and run production jobs based on work orders and production schedules.
- Operate Zünd CNC equipment to cut PET felt acoustic panels accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain continuous machine operation to support production flow and minimize downtime between jobs.
- Monitor cutting operations to ensure parts meet required quality and dimensional standards.
- Verify that each job is produced according to specifications before moving forward in production.
- Load, unload, and handle materials efficiently to keep production moving.
- Learn CNC machine operation and workflow processes to improve speed and consistency over time.
- Perform basic machine upkeep, including blade changes and routine cleaning, to support consistent production.
- Monitor tooling condition and machine cleanliness, proactively addressing anything that may impact cut quality or efficiency.
- Identify production issues (material, file, or cut quality) and communicate them quickly.
- Maintain organized work areas and follow all company safety and quality procedures.
- Communicate with production leadership regarding job progress, output, or delays.
- Assist with other manufacturing and production tasks as needed to support overall workflow and team output.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn CNC equipment and processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and improve efficiency over time.
- Experience with CNC cutting systems preferred, but not required.
