ZooScaper Volunteer Program (Unpaid)

Key Responsibilities

• Weeds, mulches, trims, cleans up, and maintains Zoo & Aquarium's landscaping and horticultural areas.
• Supplementary watering.
• Removes insects from indoor plants.
• Maintains flower and landscape beds.
• Plants and installs new plants.
• Removes dead plants and other debris from pots and flower beds.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Willing to get dirty and be in all weather extremes.
• Must have sufficient mobility to ensure a safe work environment and complete assigned tasks.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds with or without assistance.
• Must pass a background screening.

Support

Training for this position will be provided. In addition, the Volunteer Contact and Area Manager will be available for questions and assistance.
