About the role
The role involves managing the daily operations of the zoo, including animal care, visitor services, and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the feeding and cleaning schedules for all animals.
- Ensure all animals are healthy and exhibit appropriate behaviors.
- Manage visitor flow and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the zoo facilities in good condition.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Zoology, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in zookeeping or similar animal care role.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with visitors and staff.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and care practices.
- Experience with veterinary care and emergency response.
Skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.

Pay
$25-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend and evening shifts.
