Zone Team Leader

Position Overview

The Retail Zone Team Leader is responsible for guiding and directing the operation of a specific zone on the retail sales floor of a store location. This role involves overseeing a team dedicated to merchandising and selling merchandise, as well as ensuring an exceptional associate and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute established procedures for assigned zone, including merchandising, signage, displays, replenishment, pricing, ad sets, and daily recovery.
• Ensure that store standards, operational compliance, seasonal planning, inventory processes, and company programs meet all operational expectations.
• Oversee the process to ensure that merchandise is planned for and received, and that the sales floor is properly stocked.
• Supervise associates within the assigned zone, communicate company directives to ensure follow-up is completed.
• Perform all Team Leader functions to open and close the store when needed and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1–2 years of supervisory experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.
• A positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
