About the Role

KBS has immediate full-time, permanent openings for a Zone Supervisor. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to contribute to job safety, this is the ideal position for you!

Responsibilities

• Lead site teams and perform scheduled work alongside them.
• Interact with clients to provide professional and prompt customer service.
• Assist the manager in recruiting and staffing employees.
• Help train, motivate, and supervise site/store leaders and team members.
• Assist the manager with crew scheduling to ensure adequate staffing.
• Conduct quality control inspections and performance audits.
• Oversee crew task completion to ensure cleaning standards are met.
• May assist the manager in documenting crew performance and initiating corrective actions (with management supervision).
• May initiate routine terminations (with management supervision).
• Perform nightly quality control inspections and provide corrective training.
• Review and respond to emails regarding operations and client relations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Maintain building security (check door locks, key verification, and credential security).
• Ensure the janitorial closet meets safety and cleanliness standards.
• Perform required cleaning/specialty tasks (carpet cleaning, windows, etc.).
• Document and report issues related to safety, building maintenance, damaged equipment, or other pertinent problems.
• Request uniforms, employee credentials, necessary supplies, and other items.
• Load and unload supplies; move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in building cleaning/maintenance or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of staffing processes and performance programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the team and client(s).
• Training skills (ability to provide clear and effective training on basic processes and safety).
• Ability to manage change and use good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate (speak and write) in English (bilingual in Spanish and English when necessary).

KBS uses the mobile time-tracking software KBSPresence to accurately record work hours, manage attendance, complete required training, and distribute important job information. All non-exempt employees must download and use the KBSPresence app on their personal mobile devices to clock in and out of shifts and breaks. In accordance with applicable local laws, reimbursement for cell phone usage is offered to support the use of personal devices for work tasks.

Pay

Starting salary: $20.99 per hour.

Schedule

Available shift: 6 am to 2 pm.
