Responsibilities

• Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards.
• Report all serious incidents and daily activities to the Shelter Manager.
• Aid in developing shift schedules and staff assignments.
• Monitor, coordinate, and delegate daily facility operations tasks.
• Dispense non-prescription medications when necessary.
• Safeguard the interaction between children and promote their responsibilities.
• Plan and organize activities for children based on the daily schedule.
• Identify and report routine maintenance issues to the Shelter Manager.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and team decisions.
• Assist with household laundry and cleaning duties.
• Maintain accurate records of clothing and personal items.
• Schedule and transport the service population as needed.
• Implement and follow safety protocols during emergencies.
• Adhere to Compass Connections professional standards and ethics.
• Supervise unit managers and provide feedback to staff.
• Mentor and assist new hires and coworkers.
• Document work activities accurately and promptly.
• Frequently move between different areas of the facility.
• Meet deadlines set by supervisors and partners.

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug tests.
• Provide proof of work eligibility.
• Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background check.
• Show ability to respond sensitively and competently to diverse populations.
• Collaborate effectively with other staff and professionals.
• Provide crisis intervention as trained.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Be familiar with Compass Connections policies and procedures.
• Have computer literacy and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Pass an annual influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience and/or training in a related field preferred.

$32.25 per hour.
