Zone Lead-FT

About the role

The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones, maintaining visual standards to drive sales. The role ensures all visual aspects—including signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, and promotional displays—are set and upheld to company standards, reinforcing seasonal, holiday, and in-store promotions. The ZL fosters a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance while requiring physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and moving merchandise in a warehouse-format store.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead visual merchandising transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity and an organized environment.
• Execute daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks to meet visual merchandising, sales, and guest engagement goals.
• Participate in freight processes, including sorting, stocking, down stocking, and end cap maintenance.
• Support customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, loss prevention, and expense control to ensure profitable store operations.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings/huddles on operational and performance topics.
• Serve as a role model and coach for visual merchandising, providing training and creating visual moments that enhance the customer experience.
• Review store financial and business data (e.g., sales, expenses) and take action within assigned zones to improve metrics.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized zone with up-to-date signing and merchandising sets.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension communication skills.
• Open availability, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs.; routinely move merchandise around the store.
• Capability to use hands to handle objects, reach with arms, and stand or walk for prolonged periods.
• Ability to bend, climb, and reach as needed.
• Strong attention to detail (e.g., standards, processes, marketing).
• Reliable, trustworthy, and demonstrates ethical behavior in all situations.
• Creates urgency, promotes teamwork, and motivates self and others to accomplish objectives.
• Flexible, creative, and able to handle multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Full-time with open availability required, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
