Zone Lead - FT

About the Role

The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones while maintaining an active selling culture. This role ensures all visual aspects are set and upheld to documented company standards to drive sales. The ZL provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons, holidays, and promotions within their designated areas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity, a neat and organized environment, and inspiring guest discovery through compelling visual merchandising.
• Support Task Management by planning and executing daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks to meet visual merchandising, sales goals, guest engagement, and other store objectives.
• Participate in all freight processes, including sorting, stocking, down stocking, and end cap maintenance while keeping the zone neat and organized.
• Support customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and customer experience to ensure effective and profitable store operations.
• Participate in regular team meetings/huddles on key operational topics.
• Serve as a role model and coach in visual merchandising, providing continuous learning opportunities for team members.
• Communicate and train visual priorities and create visual moments that enhance the customer experience.
• Review store financial and business data (e.g., sales, expenses) and act within assigned zones to improve metrics.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized zone, ensuring the store is up to date with current signing and sets.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check.
• Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., as well as move merchandise routinely in a warehouse-format store.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, bend, climb, and reach as needed.
• Strong attention to detail (e.g., standards, processes, marketing).
• Reliable and trustworthy, serving as a role model for ethical and honest behavior.
• Ability to create a sense of urgency, promote teamwork, delegate appropriately, and motivate self and others to accomplish objectives.
• Flexible, creative, and able to handle multiple tasks where priorities shift with business demands.
