Zone Lead - FT
About the role
The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones, maintaining an active selling culture by ensuring all visual aspects meet documented company standards designed to drive sales. The ZL provides expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of in-store marketing elements (signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first look/flash finds) that reinforce seasons/holidays and in-store promotions within their designated areas. The ZL influences store Team Members to be knowledgeable about visual merchandising and visual standards while demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities require enthusiasm for vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around the warehouse-format store, and stocking.
Responsibilities
- Supports all aspects of visual merchandising processes by planning, in conjunction with the Assistant Store Manager, and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets while maintaining visual integrity, a neat/clean, organized environment, and inspiring guests to discover ideas and solutions through compelling visual merchandising.
- Supports Task Management by planning/executing the daily/weekly workload and assigned tasks as delegated by the Assistant Store Manager to deliver on visual merchandising, department and store sales goals, guest engagement, etc., ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and timely.
- Participates in all freight processes for incoming freight and/or transitions, including freight sorts, stocking product in designated areas, down stocking, and end cap maintenance while maintaining a neat, clean, organized zone.
- Supports the store team in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, loss prevention expense control, and customer experience to ensure the store operates effectively and profitably, participating in regular meetings/huddles on these subjects.
- Serves as a role model and coach in visual merchandising, providing continuous learning opportunities and leveraging daily interactions to communicate and teach/train visual priorities and creation of visual moments that support the customer experience.
- Reviews the store's financial and business data from the store scorecard, including sales and expenses, and acts within assigned zones to improve metrics.
- Ensures the maintenance of a neat, clean, organized zone, ensuring the store is always up to date with current signing and sets.
- Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Background check will be completed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and team lift 100 lbs., as well as move merchandise around the warehouse-format store routinely.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to bend, climb, and reach at times.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
