About the role
The Zone General Manager (ZGM) is responsible for developing the zone business strategy to align with the overall Siemens Healthineers North American strategy. This executive leadership role drives an integrated solutions strategy for Imaging, Advanced Therapies, and Services through coverage and in-depth knowledge of all customer segments.
Responsibilities
- Leads and develops a high-performing sales organization in the Midwest Zone, accountable for revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Achieves and surpasses all company goals, including employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics.
- Drives market share and profitability through effective management of regional account teams, setting growth targets for Regional Vice Presidents & Area Vice Presidents.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with healthcare executives, provider networks, distributors, and non-traditional channels to expand market reach.
- Oversees zone sales leadership to ensure consistent performance, develop talent, and plan for succession.
- Provides exemplary leadership through proactive communication and effective change management.
- Fosters a high-performance culture by systematically developing and coaching direct reports and the zone team.
- Creates high credibility with customers and develops long-lasting executive-level relationships, spending significant time at customer sites.
- Leads strategic partnerships with luminary customers in Integrated Delivery Networks, Academic & Research Institutions, and Healthineers Strategic Alliances.
- Collaborates with business lines and regional functions (Services, Project Management, Solution Implementations, Finance, etc.) to achieve strategic goals.
- Continuously improves business processes, enhances customer satisfaction, ensures accurate forecasting, maintains transparency, and manages sales tools across the zone.
- Develops strategies to promote growth in Siemens Healthineers solutions such as Population Health, Managed Equipment Services (MES), and Integrated Service Management contracts.
- Drives and cultivates a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture within the zone team and beyond, modeling integrity, transparency, and values-based leadership in all actions.

Requirements
- 15+ years of sales leadership experience in medical technology or diagnostic imaging, with a strong track record of driving growth.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead across a matrix organization and empower managers to achieve business outcomes.
- Strong intra-organizational collaboration skills with exceptional influence and negotiation capabilities at senior levels.
- Deep knowledge of imaging or related healthcare technologies preferred, with an understanding of industry macro trends and comprehensive knowledge of the market and customer landscape.
- Proven track record in leadership, targeting, and closing strategic accounts within the zone.
- Outstanding executive presence and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Willingness to travel within the zone (70%) to support sales, customer engagement, and business goals.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $280,000 - $385,000. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. If this is a commission-eligible position, commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan, based on individual and/or company performance.
