Main Responsibilities
- Educate targeted healthcare providers on the benefits of product’s FDA-approved indications within assigned territory or territories.
- Travel to assigned territory or territories during the assigned period of coverage for 4-5 days each week.
- Develop and communicate deep scientific understanding of therapeutic areas and competitive products within the Dermatology and Respiratory marketplaces.
- Cultivate and maintain long-term business relationships with key accounts and key opinion leaders within the Dermatology and Respiratory communities.
- Develop and implement a territory specific business plan and utilize all available resources to foster a successful sales environment and deliver on business unit objectives.
- Effectively convey complex clinical and reimbursement product information to key stakeholders in a highly competitive marketplace.
- Execute a customer centric need based selling approach with targeted Healthcare Providers.
- Collaborate effectively with Thought Leader Liaisons, Area Business Managers, Business Relations Managers, Field Reimbursement Managers, Site Coordinators, Managed Markets, Medical Field and home office teams as required.
- Conduct promotional programs.
- Achieve and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Attend local, regional and national meetings as directed.
About You
- Basic Qualifications: BA/BS Degree Required, 2+ years of professional experience in a quota-bearing or target-driven role with demonstrated and proven results (sales, account management, business development, clinical, or healthcare-related fields welcome).
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and scientific product-related information.
- Geographic flexibility—able to travel to any geography within the United States on a weekly basis for a period of weeks to months with little advance notice (upwards of 80% travel or more).
- Comfortable with change.
- Self-starter who can form relationships with new customers, office staff and teammates quickly.
- Valid driver's license.
- The willingness to relocate anywhere in US for any potential, future sales positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Sales-Driven Professional with Proven Commercial Experience: The ideal candidate brings 2-6 years of quota-bearing sales experience in medical device, B2B, or healthcare-adjacent industries, with documented performance achievements or top-tier rankings (previous pharma sales experience is not a target candidate as candidates with diverse backgrounds are highly preferred).
- Healthcare or Clinical Fluency: A strong background in life sciences, clinical roles (RN, PT, PA, Pharmacist, Respiratory Therapist), or healthcare operations is highly valued, demonstrating the ability to engage credibly with medical professionals and navigate clinical environments.
- Science or Business-Oriented Education: A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Business, or Public Health provides the scientific and commercial foundation needed to understand specialty pharmaceutical products and communicate their value effectively.
- Professional Experience with Clear Upward Trajectory: 3–6 years of Progressive, commercially relevant work history, showing increasing responsibility, stable, and a purposeful career arc pointing toward pharmaceutical sales.
- Coachable, Resilient, and Committed to Pharma: Beyond credentials, the ideal ZBA demonstrates strong communication skills, adaptability, and a clear, articulated motivation for entering specialty pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work across multiple functions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
