ZDC - ATC Training Instructional Supervisor
About the role
The successful candidate will oversee and direct the activities of Contractor personnel providing support within a particular instructional area under this contract. They will deliver high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers (CPC).
Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers (CPC).
- Supervise and mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO).
- Participate in curriculum design and development.
- Interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure the delivery of training services meet the needs of the local facility, as well as the FAA’s overall Air Traffic Control mission.
Requirements
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum of five (5) years recent Certified Professional Controller (CPC) experience controlling live traffic, or recent experience instructing FAA personnel.
- Experience demonstrating excellent teaching and/or platform skills, classroom management techniques, and a student-focused drive for continuous improvement.
- Strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA air traffic control facilities within the U.S. National Airspace System.
- Direct experience as a CPC at the Washington ARTCC (ZDC) will have priority selection for the position.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
- Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required.

The CTS Instructional Supervisor is a hands-on position that requires the candidate to effectively and consistently deliver the highest quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to a wide variety of students including developmental air traffic controllers and certified professional controllers (CPC).
Pay
Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
