Zamboni Driver (Part-Time)

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate the Zamboni machine to resurface the ice before and during activities
• Inspect and maintain the Zamboni for proper functionality and safety compliance
• Maintain high quality ice conditions for hockey games, public skating sessions, and other exciting events
• Monitor ice conditions and temperature, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance
• Aid with event setup, changeovers, and breakdown, including ice related equipment and materials, as needed
• Perform routine ice maintenance, including edging, patching holes, filling low spots, and removing excess snow or water
• Keep accurate logs of ice conditions, resurfacing activities, equipment inspections, and maintenance needs
• Coordinate resurfacing activities with event operations, officials, players, performers, and other staff to maintain the event schedule
• Provide courteous assistance to guests and represent the Arena in a professional and positive manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Experience operating a Zamboni or similar machinery is preferred, but training will be provided
• Basic knowledge of ice maintenance preferred
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Strong attention to detail and capability to work under pressure
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and materials
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required
