About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) seeks telephonic interpreters to support their high-volume client base. Positions are available for independent contractors who work from home, providing interpreting services 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Provide over-the-phone interpretation services for a variety of industries including medical, insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts.
• Interpret in multiple languages for clients needing assistance with Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers.
• Set your own schedule and manage your interpreting time through CLI's online portal or landline telephone.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States and be a resident within the country.
• Payment is based on per-minute billing, with interpreters paid for every minute spent on the phone.
• Payments are made twice monthly via direct deposit.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN).
• Have a current photo ID.
• Reside in the United States.
