About the role

Kajabi is expanding its YouTube presence and is looking for a YouTube Video Editor to create engaging, high-quality content. This role supports Kajabi's growing YouTube presence, working closely with producers, strategists, and creatives.

Responsibilities

• Edit YouTube-first, long-form content with strong pacing, structure, and audience retention
• Shape compelling narratives from interviews, educational content, customer stories, and product-focused videos
• Collaborate with producers and strategists to refine story structure, tone, and creative direction
• Create engaging short-form cutdowns and social edits from long-form content
• Incorporate motion graphics, text animation, music, and sound design to improve clarity and viewer engagement
• Balance speed with quality while maintaining organized project files and efficient workflows
• Iterate quickly based on creative feedback and YouTube performance insights

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional video editing experience with a strong YouTube portfolio
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io
• Strong storytelling instincts with a deep understanding of pacing, retention, and audience engagement
• Experience editing educational, creator, business, or brand content
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate closely with producers and creative teams
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics
• Experience editing for SaaS, technology, or creator economy brands
• Experience optimizing content for YouTube performance and audience retention
• Familiarity with YouTube analytics and performance-driven editing

Skills

• Exceptional editing instincts
• Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling
• The ability to shape educational content into videos that feel dynamic, polished, and highly engaging
