YouthBuild Job Developer
About the role
Join our CPLC NM YouthBuild team and help young adults aged 17 to 24 find their path to success. The YouthBuild program provides at-risk youth the opportunity to earn their high school diploma or GED, receive job training, and gain valuable work experience—all at no cost. This program aims to improve workforce development opportunities by building leadership skills, engaging participants in community service, and developing career pathways that lead to long-term success in the labor market. The program focuses on construction and other hands-on skills training, with participants working on building affordable housing in their communities.
You will offer educational services and related activities to help enrollees aged 18-24 achieve literacy and numeracy gains, secondary education credentials, industry-recognized credentials, and preparation for post-secondary career and education placements. Your role involves assessing individuals' aptitudes, preferences, and employment needs, facilitating their placement in suitable career opportunities, and collaborating with companies to understand workforce needs.
