Location

Locations: Across Howard & Montgomery County MD (Jessup, Columbia, Burtonsville, Savage, and Elkridge communities)

Commitment

Duration: 6 Weeks
Dates: September 12th/13th to October 17th/18th

Responsibilities

• Teach young athletes the fundamental skills of volleyball (bumping, passing, setting, and serving)
• Implement age-appropriate drills using practice plans provided by i9 Sports
• Lead practice sessions and assist volunteer parent coaches
• Serve as the official for youth volleyball games
• Maintain safety and an inclusive atmosphere during practices and games
• Maintain open, professional communication with parents, players, and staff

Requirements

• Previous experience playing or coaching volleyball
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills, with a knack for motivating children and collaborating with parents
• Patience, high energy, and a passion for youth sports development
• Ability to solve problems on the fly
• Availability for the Fall Season dates listed in the schedule
• Extremely reliable, responsible, and organized
• Availability to work each weekend of the season
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must have a personal vehicle / reliable transportation
• Must pass a background check
