Youth Therapist
About the role
The Youth Therapist contributes to AHF by having a therapy / counseling background and experience with crisis intervention. The Youth Therapist enhances the reputation of AHF by providing one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention with LGBTQ youth and their families. You will be a passionate advocate for our top initiatives.
To be successful as the Youth Therapist, it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. At AHF, we are nimble and able to adapt in a dynamic environment to assist in providing the best experience for our clients and workplace for our employees. The Youth Therapist will work as a part of a close-knit team to provide timely and thorough treatment planning and providing accurate updates on client progress through documentation of case notes.
Responsibilities
- Promote and embody the AHF Core Values and Mission
- Provide one-on-one counseling and crisis intervention with LGBTQ youth and their families
- Work closely with a team to provide timely and thorough treatment planning
- Document case notes accurately to reflect client progress
Requirements
- Masters degree in a counseling field, registered intern status minimum requirement, license preferred
- Two years office experience and computer experience
