About the role
KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum. Classes run typically weekdays 9 am–11 am and evenings 3 pm–7 pm, and weekends are typically 8 am–3:30 pm. Opportunity for a flexible work schedule depending on center needs. Additional opportunity to increase scheduled hours through private party coaching hours.
Responsibilities
- Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old
- Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
- Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
- Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class
- Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
- Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
- Ensure cleanliness of the center
- Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records of data for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
- Communicate professionally with co-workers
- Complete trainings as directed
- Work in a physically intensive environment – coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight
- Be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety
- Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
- Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next month’s curriculum
- Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Management
- (Optional) Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp – special classes held by centers when local schools are not operating (for example: Winter Break, Summer Break)
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
- Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
- CPR certified
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter who just gets a job done

Pay
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
