About the role

KidStrong Coach would focus on coaching children on brain, physical, and character development that stems from evolving monthly curriculum. Classes run typically weekdays 9 am–11 am and evenings 3 pm–7 pm, and weekends 8 am–3:30 pm. Opportunity for a flexible schedule depending on center needs; additional hours available through private party coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, ages roughly 12 months to 11 years
  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
  • Ensure classes start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
  • Greet students and parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at the beginning of class
  • Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
  • Ensure cleanliness of the center
  • Use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records for parents (attendance, awards, etc.)
  • Communicate professionally with co-workers
  • Complete trainings as directed
  • Work in a physically intensive environment—coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 lbs
  • Comfortable working hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety
  • Assist parents of students ages 3 and younger with the direction and flow of a class
  • Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for the next month’s curriculum
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Management
  • (Optional) Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Camp—special classes held when local schools are not operating (e.g., Winter Break, Summer Break)

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-starter who completes tasks without constant oversight
  • Enjoys being in the spotlight and engaging with groups

Pay

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour
