Youth Sports Site Supervisor - Johnstown

Job Summary

The YMCA is seeking Youth Sports Site Supervisors. The salary range is $15.00-$18.00 per hour based on experience, availability and certifications. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

What You Will Do

• Ensure program participants are learning introductory skills through the rules of play and the Y Way to Play.
• Afford assistance in parent interaction.
• Afford to ensure the program is running smoothly and safely with all activities starting and ending on schedule.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Age 16 years or older.
• Significant involvement and understanding of the sport.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days.
• Ability to organize and engage groups of children.
• Know how to break down a skill and explain it so that participants can understand and perform the skill.
• Ability to communicate and work with a variety of people including kids, staff, other host staff, and community members.
