Youth Sports Instructor - Volleyball

About the Role

The Youth Volleyball Instructor will assist with a variety of youth volleyball programs and activities, helping participants develop skills while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or coach youth volleyball teams
• Help lead volleyball training sessions and skill clinics
• Supervise or assist with open gym activities
• Operate scoreboards during games and events
• Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development
• Support YMCA staff in creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants

Requirements

• Some volleyball playing and/or coaching experience preferred (basic knowledge of the sport is sufficient)
• Experience engaging and working with youth of varying ages
• Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during volleyball seasons
• Dependable, energetic, and committed to creating a positive experience for participants and families

Pay

$11–$12 per hour, based on experience
