Youth Soccer Official

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Officiate youth games accurately and fairly based on good knowledge of the sport and rules.

Promote good sportsmanship at all times.

Ensure a safe environment for all participants during games.

Entry Requirements and Skills

• Soccer knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
• Will train officials.
• Must be available on Saturdays, August 15 - October 3, 2026.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to run and be active during games.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Clean and neat appearance.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.
• Tactful and effective communication skills.
• Able to maintain an exceptional level of safety.
• Must be at least 14 years of age.
• Indoor/Outdoor setting.
• Must be adaptive to all weather conditions.

Entry Requirements

• Must be at least 14 years of age or older.
• Are you a certified soccer official?

Benefits

• This position is not eligible for health benefits but may be eligible for IPERS.
• IPERS eligibility and participation will begin once an employee earns $1,000 or more in two consecutive quarters and will continue for the duration of employment.
