Youth Soccer Coach

About the Role

Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children at preschools, child care centers, elementary schools, and local parks in New Castle County, DE. We are expanding and need enthusiastic coaches to help run sessions in areas including Newark, Hockessin, Bear, Wilmington, New Castle, and Middletown. Each session lasts 30–60 minutes, depending on the age group. We provide all necessary training, equipment, and curriculum materials.

Compensation is $30 for each session coached, with some locations offering two to three consecutive sessions.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize the safety of children under your care.
• Engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation.
• Plan and conduct sessions systematically according to the provided lesson plan.
• Maintain appropriate order for the age group.
• Represent Soccer Shots professionally as the "face" of the program.
• Create a fun and exciting atmosphere to encourage participation and smiles.

Qualifications

• Soccer experience is preferred but not required (familiarity as a player or coach is helpful).
• A background in elementary or early childhood education is a great fit.
• Coaches must be safety-conscious, caring, organized, responsible, and energetic.
