Youth Residential Technician - Behavioral Health - FT Evenings
- items.
Then "Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required" includes education requirements, etc. That could be "Requirements" or "Qualifications". The heading list includes both Requirements and Qualifications. We need to decide which to use. Usually Requirements = education, experience, licenses. Qualifications = skills, abilities. But we can split.
We have: "Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required PCH (Lotus, Sunflower) bachelor's degree or High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs, with three or more years of experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting Complete Shift Leader and Medication Administration training. Maintains standards of confidentiality Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms."
That's a mix of education, experience, training, skills.
Then "Licenses and Certifications Required Valid Driver's License from a USA state within 3 years of entering position."
Then later: "Minimum rate of $22.50 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity..." That's pay info.
Then a paragraph about compensation factors, benefits: "In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits."
Thus we have Benefits section.
Schedule? Not mentioned explicitly. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule section.
Pay section: we have minimum rate $22.50 hourly. Also mention pay equity etc. That's specific content. So include Pay.
Now we need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present.
We need to preserve all substantive info, not invent.
We need to format: Use
for section headings. Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose. We need to decide which content goes into which section. Let's outline:
About the role
Our team members are the heart of what makes us better. At Hackensack Meridian Health we help our patients live better, healthier lives — and we help one another to succeed. With a culture rooted in connection and collaboration, our employees are team members. Here, competitive benefits are just the beginning. It’s also about how we support one another and how we show up for our community. Together, we keep getting better - advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change. We provide 24-hour clinical, therapeutic treatment for emotional, behavioral, psychiatric and substance abuse difficulties based on the resident strengths and needs.
That seems appropriate. Then Responsibilities: list of duties. We need to extract each duty sentence into - . Let's list them:
- The Youth Residential Technician provides 24-hour care on a close, personal basis and assists in establishing an appropriate home environment that provides supervision and support for the residents.
- Helps provide a range of daily living activities for residents, personal supervision of residents, and day-to-day household functions at the lodge.

- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
We need to ensure we didn't miss any.
Now Requirements/Education etc. We could split into Requirements (education, experience, licenses) and Qualifications (skills, abilities). But we have both headings available. Let's decide:
Requirements: education, experience, licenses/certifications.
Qualifications: skills, abilities (communication, computer proficiency, confidentiality, etc.)
But the posting lumps them together. We can still separate.
Let's extract:
Education/Knowledge: PCH (Lotus, Sunflower) bachelor's degree or High School diploma, GED, and/or GED equivalent programs, with three or more years of experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting.
Complete Shift Leader and Medication Administration training.
Licenses and Certifications Required: Valid Driver's License from a USA state within 3 years of entering position.
Thus Requirements section could include education, experience, training, license.
Qualifications: Maintains standards of confidentiality, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Also maybe "Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior" could be qualification but we already placed in responsibilities; but it's okay.
Now Benefits: comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
Pay: Minimum rate of $22.50 Hourly. Also mention pay equity etc. We need to preserve all substantive info. So include that paragraph.
We should not include boilerplate like "Minimum rate of $22.50 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package. The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate of pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to Labor Market Data Compensation is benchmarked against market data to ensure competitiveness. Experience Years of relevant work experience. Education and Certifications Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs or advanced training. Skills Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies. Geographic Location Cost of living and market rates for the specific location. Internal Equity Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization. Budget and Grant Funding Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts. In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits."
We need to keep all substantive info, but we can split into Pay and Benefits sections. The long paragraph includes many generic factors (Experience, Education, etc.) that are basically describing how compensation is determined; they are substantive but generic. We should keep them as part of Pay section perhaps as a
. However, we must avoid filler like "Experience Years of relevant work experience." That's basically a heading-like phrase but it's part of the description. It's not filler like "not specified". It's describing factors. We'll keep. Thus Pay section will have a
containing that entire paragraph (maybe trimmed to remove duplication of benefits? Actually benefits part appears at end of that paragraph: "In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits." That's benefits info; we could move that to Benefits section to avoid duplication. But we need to preserve all info; we can keep it in Pay section but also have Benefits section; duplication would be repeating same info. Better to split: Pay section includes the minimum rate and the pay equity explanation, plus the factors (Experience, Education, etc.) but not the benefits sentence. Benefits section includes the benefits sentence. Let's extract Pay paragraph up to before benefits sentence. Original: "Minimum rate of $22.50 Hourly HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.
