Youth Program Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's established framework
- Conducting daily motivational sessions that ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly application-based goals through age-appropriate incentive structures including school currency and performance leaderboards
- Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical skill-building so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy
- Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing direct support
- Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational approaches you require from all Guides
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your focus is elevating the people who support them.
- Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You function as 80% facilitator, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't aligned.
- Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student reaches 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you will have institutional support to maintain that position.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
- Waiting extended periods for performance assessment. Outcomes are visible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises throughout your cohort and among the Guides you develop: every student loves school, advances at 2x the standard pace, and develops tangible life competencies
Basic Requirements
- Currently residing in or prepared to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field
- Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training frameworks
- Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for recruitment and performance-related termination decisions
- Background in coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and outcomes
- Professional experience working with youth ages 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts
- Demonstrated ability to leverage data and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children to achieve quantifiable objectives
- Background coaching adults in positions where performance was systematically measured and evaluated
- Demonstrated ability to engage large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention from a room full of 8-year-olds
