Youth Program Counselor

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide sports/arts/education/mentoring programs for youth ages 5 to 16.
• Help with the day-to-day activities of the Fusion Program, such as:
• Recreation activities
• Tutor & supervise the homework room
• Encourage teens to come to youth group events
• Be aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures.
• Help with the maintenance of all areas used by the program.
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily snack.
• Aid the director in whatever manner needed.
• Keep records in compliance with standards in order to assure program evaluation/certification requirements.
• Inform the Family and Youth Ministries Coordinator of all critical issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• 1+ year experience working with children preferred.
