Youth Peer Support Specialist

About the role

The Youth Peer Support Specialist will provide support and guidance to young people facing various challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional support and counseling to youth clients
  • Facilitate group sessions and activities
  • Assist in developing and implementing peer support programs
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in youth services
  • Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in using social media platforms for outreach

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
