About the role
The Youth Peer Support Specialist will provide support and guidance to young people facing various challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and counseling to youth clients
- Facilitate group sessions and activities
- Assist in developing and implementing peer support programs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in youth services
- Valid driver’s license and access to own vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Proficient in using social media platforms for outreach
