Primary Responsibilities
- Advocate for youth access to appropriate behavioral health, substance use, and wraparound services to promote long-term stability
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution throughout Kitsap County, working within a collaborative team environment
- Conduct face-to-face crisis assessments in partnership with DCRs, CPCs, and other MCOT members
- Assess and ensure the safety of clients, the community, and staff during crisis outreach
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to stabilize clients in the least restrictive environment
- Coordinate with law enforcement, medical personnel, social service agencies, and family members to develop appropriate crisis intervention plans
- Maintain knowledge of Washington State ITA laws (RCW 71.05 & 71.34) and other crisis intervention regulations
- Provide education and support to clients, family members, and community partners on accessing behavioral health and substance use services
- Develop and implement individualized safety plans and least restrictive alternatives for crisis resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of crisis interventions in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and ongoing training to enhance crisis response effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field or must meet waiver criteria of RCW 71.05.020
- EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- EXPERIENCE: Experience with adults/youth in crisis intervention, crisis triage centers, acute inpatient units and/or substance abuse treatment centers, and community outreach
