About the role
Help families in crisis. Cultivate hope. Be a youth mentor.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and supervised environment for students to begin the healing process.
- Build authentic, healthy relationships with students through high adventure activities.
- Support students in rebuilding trust and moving forward after breaking sexual boundaries.
- Offer hope to families who are in crisis and need support.
- Work within a team to ensure effective communication and decision-making.
- Adhere to physical demands such as walking, running, lifting, hiking, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor activities.
Requirements
- 20+ years of age
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to pass a criminal investigation background check
- Able to pass a motor vehicle record check (if applicable)
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- First Aid & CPR certified (may be provided)
- Aegis certified (may be provided)
- Good time management
- Works well within a team
- Leadership skills and ability to make decisions
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Able to emotionally self-regulate
- Good judgment
- Safety-oriented
- Effective communicator (listening, writing, speaking)
- Must be able to adhere to physical demands of various activities
