About the role
We are seeking an experienced professional passionate about nurturing great minds through engaging and developmentally appropriate childcare experiences.
Responsibilities
- Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn, while maintaining control of environments that build children’s self-esteem.
- Implementing and planning curriculum for the program; ensuring child-centered and developmentally appropriate learning experiences throughout classrooms using positive reinforcement for behavioral management.
- Conducting and recording weekly child observations as well as any related to child behavior concerns or development that may require early intervention with parents/guardians.
- Being patient and kind with our parents/guardians, communicating effectively and in a timely manner regarding children’s program experience, progress (written as well as verbal) while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Accurately maintaining daily attendance records, emergency contact binders, and allergy reports, as well as compliant paperwork within timesheets, incident reports, weekly reports, and child observation reports.
- Ensuring centers are maintained with quality learning materials, organized accordingly in labeled containers associated with appropriate learning centers.
- Attending team-planning meetings monthly or more as needed.
- Actively campaigning for the Annual Campaign and working to develop donors and volunteers.
Requirements
- Achievement of a degree from an accredited college or university in an education or human services related field.
- 2+ years verified child care experience (2500 hours).
- Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment.
- Ability to pass all relevant clearances and keep up to date on trainings.
