Job Function
Affiliate Programs & Events
- Organize, implement, and promote assigned programs and special events for youth, teens, adults, families, and active older adults.
- Interpret YMCA membership and program information to members and potential members to increase their participation in each area.
- Provide tours to potential new members, explaining the facility, policy information, and membership rates, promoting the various programs and memberships.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to YMCA emergency procedures, including notification of appropriate professional staff person(s).
- Make continuous rounds on an hourly basis, throughout all areas of the facility, to make oneself visible and available to members in all parts of the facility.
- Immediately address all requests, comments, and/or complaints, and refer to supervisor and/or the appropriate staff person.
- Provide back-up to Membership Service Desk Staff when they are cashing in/out or on an "as needed" basis.
Requirements
- Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures such as petty cash, member registration, membership desk, etc.
- Maintain timely collection and appropriate safekeeping of Central Division’s funds.
- Ensure a safe environment for all members.
- Prepare for class and program setup, clear out gym/program space, set up equipment, move fans, clean gym floor, launder towels, secure facilities, clean recreation and gym floors, adhere to opening and closing procedures, shovel and salt/de-ice during inclement weather.

Education/Experience
- High School Diploma
- Maintain CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Able to walk up and down stairs
