Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating one-hour live sessions in life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) for K-8 students on subjects such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's established framework
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions that ensure 100% of students meet their weekly app-based goals through age-appropriate incentives including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical training so they execute workshops with equivalent energy and rigor
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to pinpoint learners requiring support, then providing direct intervention
  • Personally mentoring your designated student cohort, exemplifying the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides

Basic Requirements

  • Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance provided)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable area
  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives
  • Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for recruitment and performance-driven termination decisions
  • Background in coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and outcomes
  • Experience working directly with youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental environments
  • Strong capability in leveraging data and metrics to inform decisions and foster continuous improvement

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business
  • Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children to achieve measurable objectives
  • History of coaching adults in positions where performance was measured and evaluated
  • Confidence presenting to large groups of children. The type of presence that commands attention in a room full of 8-year-olds

The highest form of support for a student who achieves 99% is refusing to round it up to 100%. Not out of indifference—but because you know they're capable of reaching it, and lowering expectations is the true disservice.
