Training$200k/yrFull-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating one-hour live workshops focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with K-8 students, covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, using Alpha's established curriculum framework
  • Conducting daily motivational sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly application-based goals through age-suitable incentives including school currency and leaderboards
  • Developing Guides via direct observation, specific feedback, and practical training to ensure they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy
  • Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint which students require intervention, then providing direct support
  • Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you require from all Guides

Basic Requirements

  • Currently residing in or willing to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA; Piedmont, CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred; traditional teaching certifications are not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related areas
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing educational programs, curricula, or training systems
  • Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
  • Experience providing coaching, mentorship, or constructive feedback to improve engagement and outcomes
  • Strong ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making and ongoing improvement
  • Background working with children ages 5–14 in educational or developmental environments

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or Business
  • Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program coordinator where you directly motivated children toward specific, measurable outcomes
  • Background coaching adults in positions where performance was systematically tracked and evaluated
  • Confidence presenting to large groups of children. The type of presence that captures the attention of a room full of 8-year-olds

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum content. Students progress through adaptive applications; your responsibility is ensuring the people supporting them excel.
  • Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You're 80% performer, 20% content expert; if standing at a whiteboard appeals to you, this role isn't the right fit.
  • Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or school leadership. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full support to maintain that expectation.
  • Spending time in an office processing administrative tasks. The majority of your day involves direct interaction with students and Guides.
  • Waiting extended periods for performance evaluation. Data is available in real time through Coachbot, and adjustments are made immediately.
