Youth Development Specialist (Part-Time) - Fort Worth Branches

About the role

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County seeks Youth Development Specialists who can contribute to the club's mission of providing a safe, positive environment for over 31,000 youth annually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement branch programming
  • Ensure high quality of youth programs
  • Manage branch operations
  • Work with small to large groups of youth

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with youth
  • Available to work during school year a 2:00pm - 7:00pm schedule, Monday – Friday and during summer, Monday - Friday between 7:30am - 6:00pm
  • Able to be a positive role model
  • Able to establish rapport and build relationships
  • Able to relate to at-risk youth
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must be able to pass all required background screens and drug screens at any time

Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of various program areas such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development, and teen interests
  • Experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement (national and/or local Club)

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay: $14.00 per hour
  • Benefits: Eligible for Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay

Schedule

  • During school year: 2:00pm - 7:00pm, Monday – Friday
  • During summer: Monday - Friday between 7:30am - 6:00pm
